Our school family liaison serve as a link between our families and our school. They facilitate family-school communication, which empowers families to become more active partners in their children’s education. Our family liaison also helps family get the assistance get the information and assistance they need to support their children at home and to ensure their academic success. 

Our school family represents a variety of cultures, languages, and races and is one component in our school’s effort to enhance family involvement.

Dear Westgate Elementary School Families,

My name is Clara Pardo, your school Family Liaison, and I want to let you know that I am at school to help you in any way that I can.  For example, I can assist in completing necessarily forms, providing information about the school and FCPS System, and scheduling conferences and meetings with school staff.  I also help with registering students to school, county and community programs, and classes. I can assist you with any information you will get in the Tuesday folder. Also, I promote understanding of family cultural diversity and encourage families to participate to the different events the school and PTA offer during the school year.
